The Tito Vacci brand was born from a lifelong dream belonging to its creator Tylon Wells. Tylon was born in Hartford. Ct., as the second of three children born to Terri Wells. “I always admired designers, brands, and other artists…even music artists in their industry. It amazed me to see what they designed or how their music would make people look and feel about themselves. I wanted to know what inspired them… where did their inspiration come from …what was their vision.”
In 1999, he had the vision for the Tito Vacci brand and began studying with aspiring designers specifically focused on the marketing and business aspects of creating a brand. Tylon’s experiences were driven by “real life” events, as he worked at maintaining a presence at many celebrity outings. He was struck by a theme that remained consistent throughout every celebrity interaction, which enhanced their culture, their personality, their image…. it was the role fashion and style played.
Tylon never underestimated the challenges associated with developing a brand, particularly one that had its own unique personality. As he wanted his brand to be exclusive, contemporary, yet have cachet, his search involved many different styles and cultures. This led him to researching the origins of many different cultures, ultimately intrigued by the story of Roman history that included many of world’s great artists, authors and philosophers. His journey really began with the evolution of the Greek and Latin cultures, as many a Roman audience saw a Latin version of a Greek play. Latin was the language of the ancient Romans, but was also the language throughout Europe in the middle ages. It is there, through the inspiration of Shakespeare’s classic Romeo and Juliet, the Tito Vacci brand was born. A love story capturing a hidden and forbidden love combined with adventure, mystery, and passion. This culminated in the play’s final scene when the tragic deaths of Romeo and Juliet are discovered, yet in this tragedy, the long-running feuding families reconcile their differences. It is in this rebirth, that Tito Vacci, the son of these lovers and two distinct families emerges as a powerful statement that underscores the brand today.
Tylon’s love for the powerful statement of his Tito Vacci brand represents the combination of maintaining fashion and style in one’s culture, one’s personality, one’s image.
