Becoming Alpha Performance, LLC is dedicated to helping you achieve the goals you want. Specializing in athletic performance, body composition, weight loss, speed, strength and endurance.A background working with Division I football, soccer, rugby, swimming, ice hockey and multiple high school athletic programs has led to the experience necessary to help take your game to the next level. Along with the experience I’ve taken the time to becoming certified as a National Strength and Conditioning Association Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist, as well as a National Academy of Sports Medicine Certified Personal Trainer.On top of these certifications I’ve received a B.S. in Kinesiology and Physical Education, as well as a B.S. in Human Nutrition and Dietetics from the University of Maine. Currently I am in the process of completing an M.S. in Exercise Physiology from Wake Forest University.Over the last several years I’ve worked with clients ranging from 13-78 years old, and I have found that strength training, nutritional guidance, and flexibility/mobility work is essential for everyone in one form or another. That’s why here at Becoming Alpha Performance, we don’t just focus on athletes and we have a very wide age range that we accept.Grades 5-8: Kids can always benefit from learning to move their bodies. Whether they want to get better at sports, become more coordinated, get stronger, or learn proper lifting techniques there’s an opportunity here to teach them. Training groups will be based on goals and skill levels of each individual, so there’s no need to worry about feeling like you won’t fit in. Teaching young children the proper lifting techniques with body-weight is the best way to ensure they’ll be ready to handle the demands of strength and performance training as they get older.Grades 9-12: High schools sports can be demanding. Performance training equips athletes with the tools to meet those demands and surpass them. By teaching kids the correct way to lift, they’ll have the foundation necessary to perform at whatever level they aspire to; as well as ensuring they are ready to take the next step to the collegiate level.Collegiate: Training for an NCAA sport? Club sport? Individual goal? Or just want to look good for spring break and every single day after? As long as you have the desire to be here, we’ll help you achieve those goals.Adults: Everyone has a busy life as an adult. That doesn’t mean you have to put your health on hold. Performance programs will be tailored to your individual needs and goals as well as your training level. New to training? No worries. Since we focus on technique here you’ll learn to be comfortable being uncomfortable. What on earth does that mean?
