Our Kitchen prepares traditional recipes daily of hot entree's, salads, soups, and much, much more. We also offer an assortment of hand made Pirozhki's, Gyro's, hand tossed pizza's, German breads, cakes, and pastries from local bakeries. We support our local farmers by bringing in the freshest seasonal fruits and vegetables available. You can also visit our new natural remedies and vitamin shop, or sit down in "The Barn" to eat and drink your favorite foods and beverages. "CityMaxx is a fantastic market in the Southeast region of Portland, located near 122nd and Powell. They sell a large assortment of foods from around the world, especially Eastern European and Russian items. Their deli serves delicious food, and I love visiting them whenever I’m in the area. I ate lunch and dinner at CityMaxx as often as I could while I was working out of the neighboring Safeway store. The nice thing is that their store and my store carry a large assortment of different items, so I never felt bad doing business with a pseudo-competitor. I cannot stress how awesome their deli is, and their meat department and bakery items are fantastic. I can’t get enough of their Borscht soup, and the skewered lamb and beef that’s roasted fresh in the store.
Furthermore, their staff and management have always been incredibly friendly and helpful when I’ve visited, and they serve a broad community with their selection of goods.
I recommend that anyone looking for something new give this place a try. Prices are comparable to slightly more expensive than your regular local supermarket, but you can’t get these items at a place like Fred Meyer, Whole Foods, or WinCo.
