about this business

Now is an excellent time to enter the field of court reporting. Court reporters earn an average income of $60,000 a year and, in the freelance world as well as many reporters in the official world, work two to three days a week straight from home. This career is an excellent choice for anyone who desires to set their own schedule and still earn a high-paying income. Our program is an online course where each student receives extensive training in all aspects of the field. At the end of the court reporting course, you are required to take a State Board test, and our course will provide you all the necessary tools to ensure your success. We also will train you for the career itself and assist you with job placement, providing you progress appropriately in your studies and the field training you receive. Our program is a very unique and interesting program. Our delivery method is not your typical online method. Our classes are actually designed in such a manner that you will receive hands-on instruction and discussions covering all areas of court reporting, such as, court reporting assignments, grammar and punctuation, as well as discussions regarding actual experiences and scenarios to expect as a new reporter in the field. We also have onsite classes available. We offer a two-step program. Once you have completed the first step, you will receive a Certificate of Completion for that course, and this will enable you to begin working for certified court reporters while you are going through the second step. We have some students who have elected to take this step only and just work from home for court reporters as opposed to becoming a certified court reporter. Not only is this step a valuable experience to assist you with the career, it also allows you to bring in some income during the remainder of your training as a court reporter. This step generally takes around six months but can be completed in as few as three to four months, depending on each person. Step 2 of the program focuses primarily on preparing you for the State Board test and generally takes around six months as well. We offer in-house payment plans designed to suit your budget, and you can begin with as low as $250 down, plus equipment. We also offer several scholarships and discounts to qualifying applicants. We accept credit cards and award a $250 cash-up-front discount if the entire program is paid in full.
