My life has changed through Pilates thanks to Sarah. I no longer limp and I feel really strong. I am 61 years old and I thought I might have to have hip replacement surgery. I was pretty desperate, because hip surgery was really not on my want list. By the way I have always felt that exercise was a 4 letter word (pain). Now, I love going to my weekly Pilates with Sarah, she is fun and is a great instructor. My muscles are so much stronger now and I will not have to have hip replacement surgery. When I began Pilates with Sarah it was at a time when my body was screaming for help. I hadn’t worked out in 4 years, I had given up trail running during my pregnancies, and I had fallen into a sedentary rut. I couldn’t touch my toes and simple stretching was uncomfortable! I’ve now been doing Pilates with Sarah for almost 10 months, and my body couldn’t be happier. I’ve regained flexibility and I’m sure there’s more to come! Muscles have toned up that I wondered if I would ever see again! ;) I started training to do the Avon 2 Day 39 Mile Walk for Breast Cancer and it wouldn’t have been possible without Sarah teaching me how to stretch out my IT Bands! Now as a stay at home mom, I will also add this can sometimes be the most relaxing part of my day! It could be that I’m monitoring my breathing, I’m getting out some frustration with physical energy, or it could be that Sarah is just great fun to work with! -Jenny
