From World War 1 airplanes to rocket engines, Buffalo and Niagara Falls are home to some of the most important aviation and aerospace technology in the world. The proud people of Western New York have designed and built the first airplanes to break the sound barrier and reach the edge of space, engines for the Apollo lunar missions, some of the first airplanes to see action in World War 2, airplanes that trained American pilots for World War 1, the first commercial helicopters, and even the rocket belt.
We have a rich history of aviation and aerospace firsts right here in Western New York and you can see and experience many of them at the Niagara Aerospace Museum located right next to the Niagara Falls International Airport at 9900 Porter Road in Niagara Falls.
We’re open Wednesday from 3 p.m. to 8 p.m. and Thursday through Sunday from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.
