Changing Lives Changing Minds
Angela said to speak, so here goes. I posted for you again the picture of me before and after Insanity, you would have seen an over weight gal that couldn't do a pushup, and the physical change after Insanity. You can't see the inside. I have arthritis, especially in my shoulders, Crohn's disease, liver issues, fibromyalgia, and at the start of this journey high insulin levels, and I am slightly anaemic. I don't want you to feel sorry for me. I want you to look at m...e and see what happens when you take care of you. My blood pressure was 104/64, my cholesterol ratio was down from 3.2 to 2.6, pulse 74, my AST and ALT (liver function) were normal, my sodium was down and normal, my protein was up and normal. Looking at those results can you tell I take chemo, muscle relaxer, stomach meds, and opiod pain killers every day? Along with shakeology, multi-vitamin, calcium, and vitamin D, I have totally changed what I eat, and the blood work shows I am winning. If I can do this so can you. Just take care of you and make it a priority. Decide you are worth more than that bread, pasta, or sugar. You can! OK done talking now... ~love
I spent many years in the excuse world. I just finally woke myself out of it and asked myself if I wanted to quit or fight for me. The hardest part is giving yourself permission to take care of you. You lose friends, relationships get strained, but you have to remember you ARE worth it and you deserve to fight for you. It's your choice, your fight, but this family is always here. Use it when you struggle, remember what inspires you, and always know you are worth it. Your goals don't happen overnight but with dedication and belief in yourself your goals can happen.
I began working with you in August 2014. I came to your bootcamp class. You gave me the support that I needed, and by October 2014, I won your challenge along with my 9 year old daughter. I followed the plan for eating ( with some special help all the way from Iowa) . I hired you to personal train me in Dec, Jan and March. You were my personal trainer and my therapist, you listened, you gave advice , heck you even feed me after training. Man I love you. When I started with you I was 213lbs as of right now I’m 182 lbs ( still working on it daily). My personal life was all over the place ( negative). But I have since turned the negatives into positives. I have never been in a room with women from all walks of life, different ages and different nationalities where the energy is positive and no one is judging you about your size. I can here you now “ You do you”. My daughter came to class and you welcomed her like she was your own. The love that I have for you is unconditional, no matter where life takes you, I will be there to support you and cheer you on. I’m proud to call you My Coach!
My Journey with Fitness as a Diabetic...
January 2012 began my journey to wanting a healthy lifestyle. I'm maintaining an active, healthy lifestyle since finding out I was diabetic in March of 2012. I'm managing my Type 2 diabetes with eating and exercising on a regular basis. I am a single woman who is totally committed to get back into shape. I started working out in April 2012, with a Fitness Coach, Angela Winston. I asked what would we be doing, she didn’t say. She just said, “just come and do what you can do”. I wasn’t sure I’d make it through the workout. But my goal was to finish the workout and I did. When first diagnosed with diabetes, my A1C was 7.6--March 2012. Not only did I bring my A1C down to 6.2--which is great, I've lost 30 pounds since March 2012 and today is July 4, 2012. Now June 23, 2015; I visited my doctor for my yearly physical. My A1C is 5.6 and I have maintained my weight and kept off the 50 pounds I had lost. My Beachbody Fitness Coach, Angela Winston Hebert is so encouraging, but will challenge you with intense workouts. My family now contacts me for food and fitness questions. That inspires me to keep moving forward. My journey isn’t over, but working out each day and watching what I eat is now the destination.
